Last minute hotels…

Or nearing the last minute at least. If anyone needs a hotel still, it looks like prices may be dropping on Priceline.com for the weekend. Betterbidding.com suggests that the Seattle Sheraton 4* with the newly renovated tower is accepting bids for the 6/29 – 7/1 weekend at $95/night. Across the lake, the Bellevue Hyatt 4* is taking bids at $90. 3* hotels downtown are harder to predict because there are more of them, but it looks like around $75 might get you into the Crowne Plaza Hotel.

There’s a map with some of the locations, along with the ceremony and reception sites here.

South Korea’s Robotic Wedding Host

Robot Host
South Korea has apparently won the race to be the first culture to use a robotic MC at a wedding. Surely all of Japan is jealous of this remarkable advance.

A Craigslist Wedding

We’re getting close the the wedding date now, and things are really coming together. We still have some details to work out, and some work to do, but overall it feels like everything is going pretty well. Today, I read about a Craigslist wedding, and its just amazing how well a simple request for witnesses worked out so well. The new married couple seem to be so happy. The accordion version of “Praise You” was just the icing on the cake.

Time on 7/7/07

It looks like Time Magazine has picked up on the insane popularity for the wedding date, 7/7/07. Luckily, we’ve picked the week before for our wedding, and this has let us avoid some of the craziness. Things like ceremony and reception venues book up insanely quickly in Seattle, it’s hard to imagine how nuts things would be competing for July 7th.

Dinner Menu Preview

Ok, so I couldn’t resist sharing our wedding menu. I just thought it came out pretty. Sorry, the crafty lady in me copped out and ordered them online from White Aisle. So yes, we didn’t handmake them but we did design them.
